Thanks for the insight redrobin
I did consider the sti gt thats why i have waited almost six months for the car to make it to market, but i am disappointed that the gt sti only has 196kw, where if i remember your model had 206kw?? Also can't justifiy spending the extra 10-15k on a car that offeres updated brakes and wheels and few minor body bits.

I wish i owned a HSV, well not the new ones no offence mate, i drive a
VY SS that has had a few mods and puts down 346kw at the rubber, and boys is it fun. more fun with a new ve senator.

Stuntgirls thanks for the offer i am looking at purchasing around july (waiting for tax time and the sale of my car). I interested in testing driving a gt spec b sportshift if you have any around??

cheers
Tony

This reply might be too late but - I test drove both the Spec B and STI, on paper there is only 10KW in it but the STI is a far better drive. Speaking to the guys at Subaru Docklands they claim 5.5 for the STI and I think the GT is rated at 6.2? for 0-100km/hr

both in manual - after driving the STI could not consider the standard GT, so much difference. Found the GT didnt boost until around 4000rpm where the STI kicked in closer to 2200rpm. If possible you should really have a drive of the STI.

STI hands down for me - on another forum someone added up all the extras and valued it at around $15-17K + its a limited edition
