Hi everyone

I'm Marty, some of you may recognise my handle from ozfoz/p-wrx/GTR etc.

Currently driving an 04 subaru forester XT, but i may return it to stock in the next few months in order to move onto a gen 3 B4 liberty. The forester was purchased to use as a tow vehicle but since those duties are not performed anymore, i want to get into a sedan which is a little bit nicer and has a bit more power.

I recently met Dave at lunch and have also met Jimmy at a lunch last year, as well as a few other p-wrx guys.

Cheers
Marty

Thanks guys. As for the forester its pretty basic, Jap spec cat-back exhaust, wheels, suspension mods, brakes and some visual stuff. Nothing too exciting.

Nice Foz....welcome mate....I'm pretty sure there's more power/torque to be had out of your XT than a B4 (mod dependant of course.....miss my XT)

Im thinking cat-back or y-pipe back exhaust, fuel pump, cai and verso (if B4s can be verso'd). What numbers could i expect from the twin turbo 4?

The XT would see around 160kw(ish) at the wheels and around 320nm (ish) of torque, or there abouts, with 3" TBE, cai, fuel pump and tune.

The reason i want to change to a sedan is i want some more luxury as the forester is only cloth trim. Also i dont need the wagon anymore hence wanting a sedan. I would really like to test drive a B4 first before i completly make my mind up, either stock or with similar mods so i can get a feel for the difference.

Sounds like a good trade,

What percentage tint is that on the foz?

Welcome :D

You're gonna miss the boot space if you don't get a wagon! ;)

Not sure on exact specs, but it is between 10-20% i think. The previous owner owned a tint shop, he recons he never had trouble from po-po's and i havent either. (I hope none are reading this now :|)

The B4 is mint Marty... and will certainly be a decent step up from the XT in my opinion!

Full exhaust with a Verso (It is available, you may have to do fuel pump as well) will be a SIGNIFICANT upgrade from a stock B4 as well!

Dad's still got my old one, and it still gives me a big smile when I drive it!... :D

Oh... welcome to Liberty.asn.au as well!

Well looks like a gen IV liberty may be on the cards now...Looking at a premium pack GT liberty, i think i can stretch my budget that little bit more. I think the extra luxury/newer car will be better than the B4 model.

Will keep the plans updated as my journey continues.

Thanks
Marty

Gotta love the Gen4's.

keep clear of the twin's and go single turbo...
