Hi my name is Anthony and my fiance and I are just about to pick up our 2006 3.0R wagon.
we live in Greensborough Melbourne. my daily work hack is a liberty wagon gen1 ser2 that is great exept for the huge power loss when ai-con is used!!

I'm really impressed with this forum and have found heaps of info already, not bad considering i found it by accident.

we haven't even taken possession of the car yet and i am thinking about twin tip mufflers and V-tunes!

if anyone can help me out with some info on these cars it would be great like;
things to keep an eye on?
what fuel? premium?
how many K's to a tank do people average?
this V-tune sounds ok should i get one done straight away or wait a bit to appreciate it?
how many K's do people average on V-tune?

sorry about the quiz just want to everything about our car.
thanks.

You're too late. V-tunes are no more. There are some interesting new developments for tuning 3.0 engnes though. :)
See: viewtopic.php?f=16&t=7340

Oil consumption. 1 litre per 2,000km is Subaru's acceptable maximum, which means you could use all 5.5 litres in the sump between services, and still be considered normal!

what fuel? premium?

95 octane minimum, although techically Shell's E10 fuel is only 94 octane, and it works fine in my car.

how many K's to a tank do people average?

about 500. Depends upon your mix of freeway and stop/start.

this V-tune sounds ok should i get one done straight away or wait a bit to appreciate it?

See above.

Welcome mate,

Our cruises are pretty good with a bunch of good drivers. Would be good to see some more new members join up so we hope you can make it.

Enjoy the mad house, er, I mean, forums. :good:
