Hi Guys,

New here and on the Ozliberty forums. Just moved back over from NZ and bought my pearl white JDM (but sold new in NZ) Legacy GT b spec with me. Quite a performance to get it in and complied but now happily on the road in Adelaide. Might see you about.

Welcome mate,

Good to see another Adelaide-ian. Be sure to post up some Pics of your wagon so can keep an eye out for it. I drive an 04 GT Wagon Premium with XT7's so if you see me, give a wave!

Cheers

Hey Hamish,

Yeah pearl white wagon, not sure what the Aus CS9 rims are but the 18s on it are the factory JDM spec B rims. I have see the same on a WRX special edition over here. What model do you have Hamish? Was it a bastard getting it in as a personal import?

NZ was great. I had a good run of Jap import cars in the 5 years I was there

JDM DC5 ITR,
JDM Forester STi with 2.5, 6 speed and brembos
JDM pathfinder with the nissan patrol diesel engine
JDM Honda Accord Euro station wagon

So glad to be home though.

When I got my first BL5 I loved it. So much so I bought BP5 spec B wagon as well for my partner (after she complained about the forester). Ended up getting another BP5 for myself.

Cheers and thanks for the welcome.

Ah nice i think i remember seeing your car on Anzac Highway about month ago, with HID headlights aswell?

I drive the spec B Black Legacy wagon.

Cs9 rims are the special edition rex ones. They are nice! Post some pics up.

I bought it off someone else who imported it! :D

Hamish was yours the black one with Brembos and P plates? Didn't see it was a legacy, nice! Did it come in from NZ or JPN?

Below is a pic I took before shipping for insurance purposes. Not a very good angle.

Awesome car you have, I thought it was a liberty GT Sti. It has the AusDM style bumper doesn't it?
Mine is all stock and has the extras like defrosting wipers, fold in mirrors, heated seats (wish it had seat coolers). Factory HIDs etc. I want to put some tein Stechs in it which I had in my other car and a set of the adjustable LCA bushings. These really changed tyhe handling of my other car. A darker wheel colour and losing the roof racks would help too.

In NZ they had a dump pipe that added 19kw but had no cat. No other changes including using the stock middle and rear sections.

Hmm... does anyone know if it's possible to retrofit the JDM genuine HID assemblies to our cars?

Japanese wholesale in WA have a BP GT half cut for sale. All BP/BL GTs in Japan had HIDs. They might sell you the lights and the ballast. There is a switch in the dash which you can use to adjust the headlights height, don't know if the ADM ones have it but if not you might want to grab that. Often the looms have the wiring in it already (ie like the sat nav wiring) so nit could be plug and play.
