Hi Guys
After a lot of researching (big thanks to this forum especially) I finally purchased a black auto my06 Lib GT tbSTi. It needs a tune and is surging/pulsing, got a few minor dings also scratches on the rims - nothing that cannot be fixed (hopefully the surging is an o2 sensor, or even might just need a reflash). My plans are to get it running smooth after a few basic mods and just take it from there. Hoping Serge will take a look at it - if not I have a list of others locally. Anyone know a good paintless dint removal specialist that can do scratched rims (minor) as well?
I paid a good price for the car and have set aside (in my mind - LOL!!) some extra cash to play with. It's almost due for it's 50k service at ~48.5k and has only ever been serviced by Zupps (eww cringe). My plans are to service it and fit a few bits very soon!@! Cosmetics will be last.
Have had the car two weeks and I'm impressed. For an auto (yeah yeah), it's pretty nice and when it's running smooth it certainly moves nicely. Hoping a tune and some bits will get it smooth and economical + pulling a bit harder with 2-3 people in it. Not after massive gains, but something nice and quick down low that'll make you think twice with comfort.
Love the ride comfort/balance and the 4wd down/up Mt Glorious in the wet other nights at 9:30pm was quite fun. Vortex no - Ultimate yes!
The old owner cracked the front lip and threw it out (as you do!). So I'm in the market for a pre-facelift front spoiler like http://img398.imageshack.us/img398/4868 ... iummj5.jpg if anyone knows what one this is? Don't like the ultrex lip. Also looks like rear spoiler is peeling up at the edges a little and requires a glue back down - assuming a panel shop etc could do this easy enough? Anyone had this happen before?
Will be nice to meet you all soon and learn a bit more about my car and see all your nice Libs + what you've done with them!!
Big Cheers!!
Ben
