Hi all
Long time Subaru owner and supporter, waiting for delivery of a new MY10 Liberty GT Premium Wagon in Graphite Grey 6sp Manual. :D

Upgraded more out of necessity from the XT than anything, will really miss that car, it sold quicker than we had antisipated leaving us without a car.....we've got 2 little ones still in baby/car seats and are planning a 3rd so this upgrade is a bit premature but the missus didn't take much convincing once she saw/drove the new GT. My brother has kindly leant us his 300,000+kms old NIssan Patrol to drive around in for the next few months which I'm sure will make us appreciate the new Liberty even more.

Delivery is supposed to be 25/12/2009 so I told the dealer to carry it over to 2010 so we can get a 2010 compliance plate on it.

Looking forward to finding my way round these parts in the coming years...some of you from Perth-WRX or GTrydaz/OZ-foz may know me (BXT)....been around the forums a while.

Name: John
Ride: For now - 300,000+km Nissan Patrol
Location: WA
Mod: Got to get it first!!!
Plans: Maybe lower it, possibly a tune & new mufflers
Occupation: Commercial Lawn & Garden Contractor
Year of birth: 1975
Interest: Golf, Golf and more Golf
Previous Rides: '86 Honda Civic, '94 Mazda Astina V6 Hardtop, MY99 Subaru WRX 260whp, 2001 Nissan S15 320whp, MY06 Subaru XT Forester 292whp

Can't wait to see what one of these will make with exhaust and tune.

That ought to shut the ricers up.

Has Subaru sstopped producing sedans?

+1 from me BUT I still think they're ugly. Hoping it'll grow on me when I see one modded.

AND what's with all the Wagons? Did Subaru give up on the sedan? ;)

Welcome John.

Welcome John
Look forward to seeing it in the flesh at a WA meetup, especially if you mod it (hint, needs to be lowered first and foremost :) )

Come on, nothing is slower than an 86 Civic.

Not even the bus.

Finally got it last Thursday but not without a few headaches that seem to happen to me with new cars.

Having owned it for a week now and gotten used to the sound system, features etc....I have to say I'm very impressed with the finish.....very well put together. Took a bit of time to get the stereo sounding like I wanted but its pretty good for a stocker.......It drives relatively smooth considering its still quite toight especially for a 2.5T (I'm sure the Pre MY10 Lib GT and XT owners know what I mean)

SI thingy is fun but the "I" mode is useless really, I mean if I wanted to drive something that slow and doughy I would've bought an NA, S is good for normal driving and is engaged most of the time......there's a definite difference shifting up to S# with much sharper throttle responce and what feels like more boost or perhaps more ECU intervention to the drive by wire settings. (hate DBW btw)

Suspension, again for a stocker, is quite good and keeps pace with the available power well.

This thing is HUUUUGEEE as most have said but it really is in every way......rear leg room is crazy, almost Falcodore size. Boot space in the wagon is massive....bascially its perfect for us with a growing family....

Oh and BTW, my wife is actually pregnant again for our 3rd due in late June so this was a great move to the GT for us....planning a few trips away already so be good to get it out on the open road.

Will get some pics up over the weekend.
