Hi All, I just found out about this site over on RS Liberty so thought I would suss it out.

Name: Dooie
Ride: MY01 Liberty Wagoooon
Location: Central Coast NSW
Mod: STi RA Motor, DCCD Box & FMIC
Plans: More Power
Occupation: Insurance Lackey
Year of birth: 1977
Interest: Driving & Snow Skiing
Previous Rides: 1990 Pajero Beater

Just a quick background, I have had the Lib since 05 and in Aug 07, she developed a few issues which gave me some things to think about (upgrade or not). After some long consideration, I decided that although I wanted more power, I love the style of the car so I had a chat with my trusted mech and we decided a WRX Motor upgrade was in order.

After a quick search, we realised that there were no decent WRX Motors for sale in Aus so we decided to look to Japan. We then decided that seeing as we were going to that trouble, we may as well go the STi. We lucked out as the first suitable car that came up was a STi RA which we jumped on and proceeded to bring the whole car across.

Anyway, long story short, after a lot of hassles with customs and some issues with the RA to Lib wiring, the car was finally finished on New Years Day 08 and has been running well for about 18 months now and ready for some further upgrades.

Cheers
Dooie

Will post some picks once i get the home comp back up and running.

The exterior is a totally stock Gen 3 Wagon with stock rims and roof racks. The FMIC is blacked out so apart from a bit more noise, she looks like a stock standard family car.

The engine looks like a typical Version 6 STi with the peeling Red paint so it is not much to look at but that is how i like it.

I am planning on a full engine rebuild in the next 6 months or there abouts and will clean the engine up a bit when it is out but i am not sure about the body as I like being a bit stealth.
