Oldie but a goodie....me and the car!!

Hi all,

I've got a 1991 Legacy RS, not quite a Liberty but close enough ay?
I've owned it for nearly 10 years, and brought it over from NZ with me nearly 4 years ago.
Not too many mods, mechanically it's still standard but I fitted a later model ECU and chip for more boost and better all round drivability. Exhaust is a 3" mandrel bent stainless system with X-Force twin tip, it's nice and quiet until you hit the loud pedal 8)
Suspension wise, I'm running '03 STi springs all round with GC8 WRX front struts and Tokico "Edusa" BG5 rear struts, bigger front & rear swaybars, front strut brace and a front underbody brace.
Other mods include; poly steering rack bushes, brake booster brace, 16" Gen3 RX wheels, BOV removal, boost gauge.
That's about all I can think of, future mods will be to fit better struts/springs and *maybe* a front mount intercooler.

I'm also "SubbyRS" on RS Liberty forums and Rexnet forums.

Cheers!
Rob

Welcome, Rob! We don't get many older gen Libertys on here so you're one of the rare ones. Enjoy the site and post pics of your car when you get a chance. It sounds like it's got a nice list of mods on it already.

Thanks all, I can feel the love already :)

Took some updated pics today, hope you like! Needs a bit of tidy up work, the rear bar DEFINITELY needs to be repaired and the lower lips put back on, and the front bar could do with a respray. Upholstery looks bluish, but it's actually dark charcoal :?

Welcome to the forums Rob. :)

It is great that we're starting to get the other builds in here and not just the gen IV's. Personally i love the RS cars and yours looks very nice and clean.

Gidday and welcome to the forum.
Yes, a classic ride. Unless I am mistaken, I had a close look at it on Newnham Rd a couple of months ago.
I was the silver Liberty almost attached to your bootlid whilst we we went thru the low gears :D :D :D
The daughter wasn't thrilled, but then she wasn't driving :!: :!: :!:
