I dont think E85 is a viable option, nowhere near me sells the stuff ><

I did also find a cool set of headlights on ebay just now https://i.imgur.com/XqKlsy1.png
One of my current ones us unsealed, and I lost another washer cover today -.- so im gunna replace them with that.

The VE is past its peak now, got a smaller cam after the last one went. so I have a chance at keeping up now.

1.5xtr and single or jdm twinscroll conversion, upgrade exhaust & fuel system, intercooler, cold air inlet and a tune to suit.

Then the issue becomes maintaining the state of tune/stock block and not blowing up the box.

Will you diy or entrust a shop with your funds?

Probably gunna do this, ye.

Will have to shop. I dont have any space to do DIY work like that for now.
I also have only welded like once

The guys at Ultimate Performance in Tuggerah rebuilt this car & has fixed the VE a few times. Will probably go to them again

So how many CV boots / joints do you guys go through? I seem to be replacing them every service

Really?
I only replaced them twice in total over 15 years and 340,000 km on my MY06 Spec B.

Which end is failing?
Heat kills the rubber, and the diff/gearbox end is right over the exhaust manifolds, so missing heat shields could be cooking them.

Well the avo dump will allow you to upgrade to different bell housings to suit your upgrade path.

These bell mouths have a bung for wbo2 so no weldments required.

Avo and eg xforce exhausts are stock compatible so easy to swap around parts. Some brands eg invidia are less stock compatible eg dedicated mufflers for the catback section.

Eyy lmao! The car is now leaking tones of oil from the turbo!

A shame, I have enjoyed the twin scroll.
I will probably have to replace this, so ill be re-reading this thread!

Update: the genius that replaced the timing belt didnt do any of the seals / rings. Wasn't expensive to fix at all
