Introduce yourself

5th Gen GT wagon owner

Hey guys,
Proud owner for the last year or so of a 2010 5th Gen manual GT wagon with what I think are some pretty tasteful upgrades. I’m from NZ and grew up riding in jap imports. These days I reside in Perth NOR with my young family.

Previous rides worth a mention:
- 1989 Mitsubishi Galant VR4
- MY08 WRX hatch
- MY13 Forester XT
- MY14 WRX STI

The first owner who was an ASN forum member has done a mint job with the vehicle. Upgrades include:
- Ecutek tune by Maximum Motorsports
- STI wheels
- Brembo upgrade front and rear
- STI front lip
- STI tower brace
- Crystal eye headlamps
- STI pink springs
- Bridgestone Potenza S007’s
- Invidia cat and dump pipe
- K2 Gear centre pipe
- STI tail pipes
- Whiteline sway-bar

Vehicle isn’t being used as a daily. I’m planning on looking after her and this being the last of it’s kind.

Cheers, Matt

Welcome!
That’s great to pickup a member owned car with all the care and desirable mods already done :good:

There’s a guide on posting pics here somewhere, I’ll dig it up.

Welcome Matt - definitely a nice wagon you've got there, and awesome colour too (albeit i could be biased :P)

Looks like this is the previous member/owner - Rob (robcolts)

Welcome.

Although your cool-car ownership stats peaked when you had the Forester...

Haha Yowie. That S4 Forester wasn’t my favourite - CVT was pretty awful and engine detonating in stock form before Subaru remapped with an average update was pretty bad form. Wasn’t a fan of the FA20, possibly more enjoyable in a manual WRX? I’m still a big fan of the EJ25. Will be interesting when this 2.4L FA engine arrives later this year! Who knows, Aus might get a manual Levorg?

Cheers Sym, yes very similar, I’ve had a look at a few of your pics previously, a fine example mate. I was lucky to pick up Rob’s old car as they are a pretty rare combo in good condition - manual, wagon. I’ve only done about 3000km in 18 months since I’ve owned it. Get a few looks from the WRX fraternity when I cruise down the coast on the wknd, not many like it around.
