G'day, my 4gen 2.5i Liberty (Manual of course) is actually my first car :o
Been watching the WRC with my dad since I was a child, what started as some weird infatuation with the sounds of rally cars has somehow led to wanting to pursue a career in automotive engineering :|
Got a job as soon as I could, been saving the past couple years and with the very inconveniently timed pandemic during my year 12 I now have plenty of time to do the odd job on my car haha
Anyways, i'll probably have plenty of questions for y'all for the moment so i'd really appreciate any help!

Welcome to the forum.

Enjoy working on the car too. It will be good to bring an engineering-tuned mind to those jobs.

Nice one, we also have an 05 2.5i 4eat.
Imho the first mods you’d prioritise would be upgrade or new dampers, saggy butt spacers & GT brakes.

Ours was transformed into something enjoyable and safe to drive with the GT brakes and Koni Sport yellows on Rallitek springs.

If you’re on a budget and your dampers are harsh and or wallow, a fresh set of KYB’s is a no brainer...

CorgiWerx make a short shifter adapter and gearbox bushes, highly recommended :good:

Thanks for the tips, the dampers in my car are worn to all hell and the previous owner really didn't treat the interior very nice at all, so those are really the two things i'm trying to focus on for the moment, definitely going to look into the short shifter, thanks for that!

I know the feels, took ages to find a good condition stock steering wheel :P

But all the details really help once sorted.

But the brakes, dampers and springs utterly transformed the car from shitbox to capable, enjoyable grand tourer status. :good:
