Bought my first Subaru this week. I've always had rwd cars, starting with Falcons from the late 90's into the mid 2000's then Moved onto 2 Silvias and 4 skylines (sucker for punishment, I know).

Anyway, I needed something a bit more practical while still retaining some potential for fun/excitement, once bitten by the modification bug, there's no out. The Liberty GT spec B fit the bill perfectly.
Couldn't buy a Subaru with a 5spd manual, seen too many broken, so the fact that the GTB came with the 6spd sealed the deal for me.

Welcome, The 04-06 5 speed is not the shitty 5 speed in the earlier cars, and is fine unless you are running high power AND you punish it - That said, the 6 speed in the post-face is better in every way. I put one in my MY05 and I love it
