Hello to all.
Just an introduction to me, I'm a 23 yo bloke in Darwin, Northern Territory. I just picked up a 1996 Heritage Liberty sedan for free (!!). Everything works! but the body is rough as guts, and the car came with a broken fuel pump + timing belt, amongst various other things. So i'll be hanging around regularly looking for anything relevant to my vehicle. So far i have gotten it registered and completed repairs on:
- Front bumper dent
- Timing belt + water pump + crank pulley and accessory belts
- Flushed brake fluid
- Flushed radiator and replaced hoses
- Deleted heater core hoses and bypassed core with a random Landcruiser bypass hose from Repco
- Replaced front balljoints
- Replaced crankshaft position sensor
- Replaced fuel pump + rubber fuel lines
- Replaced ignition coil + leads
- Full service on fluids and filters
Specialist car forums are so valuable to me, they have saved me around $3000 in repairs on this car alone (!!) so I thought I would contribute what I can in terms of videos and instructions on repairs.
