Hello from the 'country'

Postby m3lm3l » Wed May 18, 2016 11:06 pm

Hey there, I'm Mel.

I'm 34, mother of 1 human, 2 dogs, soon to be married to my best friend, automotive photographer, public servant and your average car nut.

Past cars:
89 Nissan Pintara sedan manual
96 Honda Civic coupe manual
05 MY06 Subaru Impreza GX Wagon manual
04 Ford XR6t Sedan auto (yuck)
05 Subaru Impreza RS Wagon manual (nicknamed devilred)
96 Mitsubishi Legnum manual (nicknamed the murderwagon)

...and now - 05 Subaru Liberty GT Sedan Manual

What can i say, either i get bored, or i just haven't found the right car yet.

So far i'm loving the lib. much more everyday comfort than the leggo, although less room, less power and more lag but pulls so much harder up top than the leggo.
She isn't perfect, a cracked dash, needs a thrust bearing done, a few oil leaks but nothing catastrophic, a busted ebay shit rear exhaust section, the CD player skips sometimes, the parcel shelf sub is cracked, the wheels are all scratched up and the boot carpet is well ruined but it's all stuff that will get fixed or changed out on the way.

Wedding is at the end of August so once that's over there will be funds for car building activities.

I've joined to learn what i can about these, as it's my first turbo Subaru and I'm fast realising it's alot different to my 05 RS (the car I've probably modded the most thus far)

I'm an instagram buff, follow me on @m3lm3lgt (until i figure out a new handle) & my photography one @richsin_autoworks

I'll post some pics when i can figure out how to resize them on my new laptop, otherwise just check my ig.
I just wanna drive cars, laugh with my boys and take photos.

Welcome.

There's another member in Albury with reasonably wild setup.

I've got family in Chiltern Valley. I get down that way when I can.
