I'm 18 and on my L's (red P's hopefully within the next 2 months). Needed a manual car to learn on since my family doesn't own any so I've been looking to buy a car for ~6 months(after my 18th).
Shortlisted it to 2 cars:
- 2000 Honda Prelude VTi-R
- 2007-2009 Subaru Liberty 4GEN
Prelude was only preference one because it was cheaper and I'm a poor uni student. After inspecting two Preludes, I realized that it was almost impossible to find an unmolested one for cheap.
Wanted to get the 6 cylinder spec B at first but all the listings for a face-lifted spec B in Victoria were way out of my budget.
Today, I went to inspect a 4 cylinder manual face-lifted model and couldn't be happier. Deposit has been made and should be getting it next weekend.
Also the leather on the shift knob and handbrake boot is worn and I'd like to replace them so if anyone knows where the cheapest place to get OEM replacements are online or in the metro Melbourne area, please let me know. Of course, any recommendations on nice aftermarket ones are also welcome.
THANKS
