Hi jay, sensaional car you have there in its own right. Welcome to the forums.

If you plan to do bigger turbo and cams, do heaps of research before taking the plunge.

I recommend a tbe, bigger tmic and tune to start with, then go the larger turbo based on your driving style.
Cheers
Shav

You won't need bigger cams unless you are chasing over 250kw atw (even then maybe not - and you're at greater risk of exploding your engine - basically if you are doing cams, you'd want to be putting them on a built engine.)

As shav said, TMIC (or FMIC if you prefer - easier for later fitment of larger turbo), TBE, tune, 3port BCS. Throw in VF52 and you're laughing.

It depends on your overall goals, timeline and budget.

Welcome!
Did the previous owner give you the sti lip and Honeycomb grille that came with your car originally?

Thanks for the warm welcome. I'll look into more info before I start shooting my own feet.

Hmm.. I guess I'll just be a bookworm for now and start reading for more info and see what I'm up against. Cheers.

Ohh no he did not. Here I was thinking to myself why on earth would Subaru put such an ugly grill on one of there cars. Now that you mentioned that it's not a factory grill, it makes more sense that the old owner must of had bad taste. God damnit!!

So my next question is, "Does anyone know where I can get a factory grill?"

You can buy the grille and lip from subaru, but they're pricey. A cheaper option is Japanparts.com which is genuine parts but cheaper. Or you can wait for a used one to come up, but they're pretty popular and people buy them quickly so you'd almost have to make the for sale section your home page haha

But you can get imitation lips for around $200 which look exactly the same to the untrained eye.

They also look exactly the same to the driveway you'll inevitably smash it on, and one of them will be a lot less awful when it gets smashed on said driveway :)

(I have an imitation lip from On The Run Motorsports, $220 and I am perfectly happy (and scraped it on a few things already :/)

Nice rig!
I'd beware trying to extract too much power from an my08, without doing plenty of research...
Having said that I would recommend an upgrade pump, new in-tank filter, a ThrottleHappy tune (aka kido tune) and a 3" turbo back exhaust with mufflered mid pipe.
Add a damd d steering wheel and a btSsm and Tactrix for monitoring and flashing tunes respectively, plus Shockworks coilovers and a few select suspension mods and you'll be golden.

Get it tuned asap. Doesn't matter by whom, Mr Bean would do a better job than what's on it now.

^ tony was one of my main inspirations for modding my car.
For his parts selection and especially his moderation as regarding his tune strategy for response with an eye on reliability.

Taking the cake and eating it too ;)

Here's a good thread on the modding subject from back in the day :)
