Hello Everybody! Liberty GT Spec B in the house!

Postby Phong1704 » Mon Oct 20, 2014 1:53 pm

Hey guys and girls!

Just wanted to introduce myself as I just bought a Liberty 2 weeks ago and am now part of the cool club! This forum has also been a wealth of knowledge and I'm learning so much off you guys already! Here's a little about me and my car; I'm from Sydney and bought the car 2 weeks ago from Melbourne.

My Car currently:
- 07 2.5L Liberty GT Spec B (auto)
- K&N panel air filter
- some white smd interior lighting, parking lights, license plate lights.

What I want my car to have:
- front lip
- sti rear spoiler
- rear diffuser
- tow bar
- looking at dump pipes, mid and Y pipes (i hear xforce is the way to go) these will come onto stock mufflers as I don't want a loud ride.
- tune for that extra bit of umph and kz/tank
- Maybe CAI but I also don't want anything too obnoxious I get pulled over by the poo poo.
- I also want to do something to liven up the automatic transmission as it's soooooo sllowwwwww...

If you guys have any recommendations I would love to hear it, though I'm sure everything has been covered in the threads already!

Look forward to annoying all you guys with my noob questions

Cheers,

P

CAI is a WOFTAM unless you are making over 245kw

A tune will liven up the engine and the auto, even with no mods.

Welcome to the club!

Welcome to the club, is yours a sedan or wagon?

Lots of mods you can do with these cars!

Welcome....

You might end up having to choose between these two.....

- rear diffuser
- tow bar

Thanks for the warm welcome guys! I know there are so many mods to choose from I don't know where to start! looking at some of the cars on this forum makes me drool! Shiv, I have the sedan in silver.

Fibble, I was thinking that too, but then I thought maybe I can just cut out a section to fit the tow bar? do any of you guys have the diffuser? is it just a double sided tape job or will you have to drill etc?

Thanks for the info HardwareBoB, and I think you're right regarding the CAI I'll probably just leave my panel filter in there and take the resonator out. I'm scared of water getting in there though, especially after the heavy down pour Sydney had last week.

My gut says structurally it won't work very well....

Others who have fit it may know better....

Contact the guys directly and see what they say - in terms of how it fits and conflicts with the tow bar

Good luck... :)
