I havent got any pics of the car .... Its at Subaru Doncaster getting Diagnosed :? I could be looking at a head gasket job.
I've read other threads on here about that sort of problem and yup its going to cost an arm and a leg. My brother is a mechanic and he does not want to touch it *ouch*
as soon as I get it back I will take some pics :)

Welcome and ouch!

i too have been down the headgasket replacement path and it sucks, subaru will take both your arms and legs, id recommend sourcing your own parts and getting a trust worthy mechanic to do it. theres are some other people here in melbourne who have had a HG replaced, wouldnt hurt asking where they got it done.

Ask for George at Neilzeds in Collingwood.
Suby HG's at very reasonable prices are his specialty!

Hey all ...... Well I've been told I wont get much change from $6000( if it is the head gasket) ..... If anyone here can recommend a cheaper mechanic I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks Benny I will contact that mechanic tomorrow :D

A member "poidagt" recently had his head gasket done recently for around 3-4k. It was in nsw, but that might give you an idea of price.

He's in my street so if I see him I'll ask.
Every third car he fixes is a Sube ;)

Also for comparisons sake ask John at Little Sam's also in Collingwood.

Also would recommend PMing jakey who's also recently done a HG - he's in Melb too, and I'm pretty sure from memory he got a competitive quote to get it replaced.
