Hi Guys,

I new the forums here, but been a long time Liberty owner (well since ive had a licence anyway).

here my history with libs.

1989 Liberty GX - Was my grandfathers former paddock basher/dont care what i look like going into town car, he tried selling it but failed so he gave it to me.
It was running on air suspension that was well and truely stuffed, so i was searching around for new normal struts to replace the system when i found my next car.
1993 Liberty GX - This was a repairable write off that I was going to just pull the suspension out of and throw the rest (i never saw the car on purchase, had a mate pick it up from auctions, set me back a whole $600)
When i got it in my yard, it was far too good to just scrap it, I still used it suspension for the 89 model as I found a set an RS suspension kit and better sway bar at Jappo donks in Wodonga for the 93. During 4 months of only part time night shift I rebuilt the car and did about 75% of the body work required which actually came up really well, sent it to body shop for the final touches.
I gave the 89 to my parents who sold it for $1500 and with 330,000 ks on it, apparently it went QLD and the bloke loved it.
I owned the 93 for 3 years and loved every bit, it handled like a weapon and the engine and trans were tight as, its the only car i really regret selling, mind you it went for a good price which eased the pain.

Next was a 2003 Liberty RX Special edition, this was a great car AFTER i had finished with it, ended up having rust in the A pillars which cost over 2.5k to get fully repaired, it was a nice car to own and drive but needed to sell it to pay for wedding.

Then there is a gap of one year with no libs, i call the dark ages for car ownership. I have a work car and the better half owned a 2009 Corolla Auto (its really doesnt get more boring). Eventually I convinced her to sell so we could buy a liberty, though her proviso was it has to be auto, my reply was well then it must be turbo or a H6.

The hunt began mid this year for a Gen 4 (face lifted) Liberty H6 (wagon preffered) and I found this and jumped straight away.

Its such a beautiful car to drive, the auto transmission is so smooth and smart, definitely the best auto trans I've used, and the paddleshift is actually less of a gimmick then i thought.

Its stock as rock at the moment, and its probably going to be that way for a while at least.
The only upgrades I want to do soon is an infotainment system in the dash, and some sort of LED spot beams (that sit behind the grill), I don't want them visible from the outside.

I hope I haven't rambled too much, and I will upload some more pics when I can.
