Hi folks
Hey everyone, nice forum you have here! Looks like a valuable resource of information and expertise.
I've always liked the style and handling of subies and have driven a few that belonged to friends, and now I have one of my own. My grandfather has sadly had to give up driving, and so gifted me his white MY02 Liberty RX as a birthday present yesterday. This car was his most prized possession, and its in typical 'car loving old man' condition. As I mentioned, its a 2002 model, yet has a mere 59,000 on the clock, was serviced every 6 months without fail going off the logbook, and both the inside and out are immaculate. Looks like it just rolled off the showroom floor, even has the bloody new car smell still.
I've already enjoyed driving it around a bit and brought it back to the central coast from Sydney yesterday. Sure beats driving the F3 in a crapped out old manual Mitsubishi Mirage
I don't really have any plans to mod it beyond upgrading a few creature comforts like a new head unit and some window tints, mechanically its obviously very well maintained and I'm well satisfied with the performance and handling as is. A lot of cars on here seem to have done upwards of 200,000km and are still going strong, so I expect to get many years of use out of this car!
Anyway, nice to meet you all, and if you see a white immaculate RX sedan around gosford/terrigal give me a wave! I'll keep an eye out for Club Liberty Stickers.
