New Brisbane STI Owner

Hello,

Posting here for the first time after lurking for a few weeks and learning a hell of a lot.

I picked up a 2008 Liberty 2.5i (nice car, just got a bit boring, currently trying to sell it) around December 2011 for my first car (except for two unregistered Nissan 300c's) and caught the subaru / liberty bug. Finally got around to getting a sportier model liberty (after my brother picked up a Liberty tuned by MRT), I ended up purchasing an 07 liberty tuned by STI from a member here, Natty last month.

Nathan had the car for about two years before I purchased it and had put in a 3" xforce exhaust dump back and tuned by ChipTorque at the Gold Cost (which he got with an EzyFlashPro, handy little box, helped me out with a few engine lights already). The car was dynoed for 175kw at the wheels and am loving it so far, I just hope the exhaust doesn't attract any unfriendly attention from the police haha. Apart from the exhaust and tune I think the car is basically stock.

After reading around here there are a few different things I want to do with the car:
- Upgraded sway-bars (Brothers lib has adjustable whiteline units and feels more stable around corners).
- Fix up the different color lights to standardize them all to match the stock HIDs.
- Considering a nexus 7 dash installation.

Anyways who knows what the future will bring, might be meeting some of you at a cruise or something.

Cheers,
Lachlan

Nice pickup mate. I was so close to flying down to Bris to pick it up! Very very good value for money.

I think you forgot Coilovers from your list?

The mod bug.. When it bites, it bites hard

Welcome mate, good to see it went to a passionate owner.

Its a very nice car, saw it in person at one of our cruises. Bargain price too, congrats.

Sway bars are a great mod, mine is much improved in the corners now. Come along to our next cruise, probably July sometime

Thanks mate, so far it has been a good toy... just a few worrying engine lights haha (which didn't actually end up being a problem).

I'll keep an eye out for the next cruise, joined the cruise group the other day.

You stole my STI!!!! You lucky bastard!

Nice to see another person catch the liberty bug. Best cars. Be sure to keep showing off any mods, I'm interested in the Nexus 7 dash installation as well.

Awesome Liberty, love the black mesh grille over the stock plastic one - personally just a big fan of black Libs!

Swaybars (at least the rear) should be the first mod on all Libertys.
