Hi All, my name is Derek. Relocated to HK last June. Felt incomplete and miserable for the last 9 months, so bought myself a Legacy GT. :D

Genuine JDM down to Japanese radio frequency 90Hz. Called HK Subaru and they confirmed batches of JDM Legacy's were bought into the country and sold under the HK Subaru importer. The only thing which sets them apart is the dual language (Japanese + Chinese) on start up + a few stickers.

Not much to brag about
Stock internals
Auto
McIntosh Stereo with Mini-disc player (who still uses MD's  )
Tein's
18" OZ Racing ULTRALEGGERA's
OEM additions incl. keyless start, front lip

Still getting to know my car. Had a club spec evo 3 wrx before in Sydney. Enough talk, here is pics of when I picked it up + on the streets of HK. Cheers

Congrats & welcome!

A good mate of mine used to work at Subaru HK & they really love their Libertys / Legacys over there... Think he's working for Jaguar these days :)

Awesome, is he still around? Maybe he can point me in the right direction to properly unlock radio >90Hz and retrofit the oem satnav system. Was never an option for HK.
Cheers :D

I suspect you can't.
Try some of the things I did here, and see if it has any effect.

Welcome Derek

Very nice example you have there.

I can already spot some differences to the normal legacy (at least to the audm).

Instrument cluster, push button start, and is that a carbon fibre front lip I spot from the s402??

I'm guessing its the ej20y quad avcs 2.0litre with the vf42 twin scroll ball bearing turbo (upgrade on vf38 twin scroll in the audm preface lift liberty)?

Very nice pickup !

Mick

do it :D
