Hey everyone

Purchased a gen4 liberty gt sedan with leather, sunroof and mcintosh stacker head unit for my wife

Been a long time Mazda enthusiast and this is our first subaru, as we could not find the right Mazda 6 MPS to buy, I suggested looking at the liberty's and ended up buying one.

We purchased the vehicle from BlackGT that's been on the forums for years and happy with our purchase.

Name: Peter
Ride: Mazda 323 SP20 turbocharged. The wife's car is the liberty.
Location: Blacktown NSW

Exisiting mods:
- custom ecutek tune by MRT
- 18" wheels
- Heavy duty clutch kit
- whiteline sway bars front and rear
- whiteline bump steer kit (extended height lower ball joint and extended height tie rod ends)

Recent mods:
- Koni Sport externally adjustable shock absorber conversion into original OEM front strut and rears come out of the box ready to install.
- King Springs Low with 40mm drop with hub to guard measurement of approximately 350mm front and rear.
- Genuine tuned by STi 18" enkei wheels with Dunlop SP Maxx Tyres
- Genuine tuned by STi sedan rear mufflers (STi quads)
- Genuine tuned by STi strut brace
- Genuine tuned by STi 183/300 tag located near gear stick
- Genuine tuned by STi floor pedals
- Genuine tuned by STi rear boot decal
- Turbosmart Dual Port BOV

Apart from the lack of 6 speed box and tuned by sti boot spoiler and front lip, its very close to be a fake genuine tuned by sti. I would of gone with the STi springs, but they were not low enough for our liking.
I have preferred Koni over Bilstein in a lot of cars that I have owned over the years and give Koni first choice.

Plans: (modifications planned for the next 6 - 12 months)
- Genuine tuned by STi front lip
- Having the STi wheels professional cleaned up and repainted.
- installing Hardrace rear adjustable suspension arms (toe / camber / track) with harden rubber bushes not pillow ball.
- rebush the front lower control arms with Hardrace harden rubber bushing and not polyurethane when the stock caster bush starts tearing and clean up the arms and paint them.
- look into having the ability to edit the current MRT tune. Just too much timing around idle and in 4th gear on very light acceleration with minimum load around the VE maximum efficiency area of the ignition map that I would like to retard slightly to remove the jerkiness, and requiring less throttle and less riding the clutch when taking off.

Occupation: I.T. Department @ Wholesale Suspension
Previous Rides: plenty of Suzuki's / lots of Mazda 323 & lasers turbocharged etc...

Photos taken last weekend at Bathurst with a few friends and their gen3 b4's.

What ever I can get my hands and at a good price, happy to pass it on to club.liberty members.

We used to do BC coilovers many years ago, assisted with development and improvement alot of part numbers that are now being sold by others.
Our constant development and improvement of their kits were started to be igorned and in result we were starting to have warranty claims and alot of unhappy customers.

We sell Yellowspeed Coilovers.
Also made in Taiwan, it is the better kit and have bought and sold hundreds to date with hardly any warranty dramas.
32 stage damper adjustable and most kits having an approximate range of upto 60-80mm lowering from factory standard height.

Welcome! I'm at Prospect, we'll have to keep an eye out for each other. Is Wholesale Suspension the place on 3rd Ave near the petrol station?

Thanks

We have moved a few years ago from that spot.

We're located at 24 Lidco St, Arndell Park.
Twice the size of our old location.

It is my wife's car so I only drive on the weekends now and then.

I have a Mazda 323 SP20 use to be my daily until I decided to built the engine and gearbox and has been off the road for the last 3 months due to sourcing parts from the USA and unexpected setbacks.
The car is currently at Hi-Comp Performance Engines & Tuning and is scheduled to be back together and tuning at the end of the month.

I would put Tein's in my car anyday and would combine them with in cabin EDFC controller.
Only drama with Tein's if they are not a monoflex, you can't achieve a really low height.
Approximately as low as my car is without running out of shock travel.

Yellow speed coilovers are their own brand and have their own factory and production. They are not rebranded like peddlers XA coilovers.

The main advantage with yellow speed is the lower clevis (lower shock mounts) are adjustable, so if the height is set at standard height or 2.5" lowered, the spring and shock travelled are not effected.

The massive downside of all cheap coilovers are that they are short travel, in most cases and a total stroke length of 80-100mm, as where stock suspension have upto 100-170mm.

Best price for forum members for yellow speed's are $1100 inc gst.
Full 12 month warranty. If softer or harder springs are required, no extra charge if requested at time of initial order.
