Introduce yourself

Newby - 06 TBSTI

Postby PSISUBI » Mon Feb 04, 2013 7:55 pm

Hello All,

Took delivery of my new 06 Liberty TBSTI and I haven't been able to wipe the smile off my face. I love the low driving position which is so different to the previous car which was an 04 Forester XT Luxury. The car's Silver which I reckon is the best color by far, but she needs some cosmetic tidying up (I am very pedantic about looks) so the dents will be done and some paint touch ups and some wheel repairs to two of the rims.

At the moment she's stock as but I have some plans for her, which include.....

3" TBE (have a CBE going on next Thursday to get the boxer sound but will do the dump when I do the turbo)
Turbo, Injectors, Uppipe, Walbro Pump (hoping to get these from dr20t)
Possible IC upgrade - can I have some ideas here, upgrade the TMIC or go FMIC ?
3" CAI
Retune

Hopefully the above will net me around 220-230awkw.

Also wanting to upgrade the stereo, possibly fit the later model wheel and Mcintosh head unit (will need the fascia too I have been told?)

As I am a first time Liberty owner, if anyone else has any other ideas please put them forward. Hope to meet some of the QLD members in the near future.

Cheers

Brett.

Welcome mate ...... Nice ride.

Just for your info with your CBE you won't get the boxer burble as its a twin scroll turbo and headers and this doesn't get that note.

Good luck with the rest if the mods etc, should be a very nice car once finished.
Not a Subaru...... Something MUCH better

NOPE..... That's shit too. Bus anyone??

thanks for that information, should I worry about the CBE at all or wait til I get the rest of the parts then do a full 3" TBE with the 2.5" diffback ? or should I go 3" diffback ?

Completely up to you mate. Its not a 'waste' at all to do the CBE as it will need to be done anyway.

Size wise it depends on how keen you are for power v noise.!!! Bigger the better as far as exhaust goes really!!!

No problems thanks for that, will probably end up doing the CBE but will do the 3" diff back section.
