How's things?

I've been around just browsing for a little while and thought it's about time I introduced myself.

A quick wrap-up...

My Pulsar by jasoncstarr, on Flickr
This was my first real car. I had a ****box before that so it didn't really count. But this was the car that set off my love for cars. When i bought it, it was stock. And over the course of a few years i turned it into that. It caught the eye of a girl who left me a note on the windshield. That girl is now my wife.

The hunt for power was a dead-end with the Pulsar. So we traded up to a '99 WRX. It had a few mods already, but things can always be improved upon.
As it has a way of doing, time passed on and my wife fell pregnant. Fearful for the baby's health and safety in the stiff WRX suspension, i made the tearful decision to say goodbye it.

MY07 Subaru Liberty GT Spec.B by jasoncstarr, on Flickr
A few months passed and i was still on the foot falcon to work and i had a hole in my heart from the missing WRX until one day an unbeatable deal showed up in my email from carsales. A lucky trip away to a bucks-party interstate provided me the opportunity to collect and drive Libby, a MY07 Liberty GT Spec.B, home.

It almost didn't happen though, because a few days before we left on the trip, i got news that my boss was closing his business and after 7 years, i was jobless. Nevertheless, the decision was made to proceed with the car, and i soon had new job offers.

And today celebrates the first mod for Libby. I painted her calipers.

To my wife's dispair, i'm sure the bug will bite again and it wont be the last thing that changes.

Thanks for reading. I'll see you around the forums. :bye:

Welcome mate!

That's a great timeline and some very tastefully modded cars there (even the Pulsar )

I'm sure you'll be tickling this one in no time at all

Thanks all.

The new job I got, by the way, was at Repco. Little different to what I was used to (Sales and Service of Cameras and IT), but i'm catching on quick and get ****-hot staff discounts  For anyone with the same model as mine, I'm constantly helping to update the Repco "Smart Catalogue" (the program we have that lists almost all the parts for all the cars). There were no rotors listed, so I've submitted the correct DBA listings to the Smart Catalogue boffins and the DBA boys (as it's not in their books or online either). Same with the missing option for HID bulbs, K&N Filters, Wiper size and some Bushes.

As far as the photography goes, thanks too. :D I'm considering buying all the bits and pieces to build a rolling rig to take rolling shots. But my attention has been drawn towards a KiDo tune also. Seems like an unbelievably good deal.

If you do the research, get logging, and are patient and polite, the Kido tune is a great deal!
And probably even if you aren't, don't or won't :P

Tuning & mods research mainly :P
But Matts stock tune is a revelation.
If I ever got over the extra kick & noise of my TBE, I'd be very happy going back to that...
