I am a long time Subaru Liberty owner, having owned a Gen3 Liberty RX and 4x Gen1 Liberty RS Turbos... After driving a Liberty RS Turbo wagon as my daily for the past few years, about 6 months ago I finally bit the bullet and purchased my dream Liberty as my new daily driver, a stock MY08 Gen4 Liberty GTB Wagon.
So far the only mods I've done are an Ultrex exhaust (full 3" turbo back) and a Parrot MKi9200 Bluetooth Kit (mainly so I can listen my tunes via stereo Bluetooth!). Future mods may also include new wheels, Brembos and an iPad mini dash install/audio upgrade. Of course I will firstly get a tune when the funds allow! Thoughts on ASG vs waiting for a KiDo tune?
My pride and joy is MEANRS, I've owned the car for about 6 years now and over that time she has changed a lot. Although the car had a built 2.5L motor (making 340hp), full STI driveline with an 07 DCCD 6spd STI gearbox, R180 and Brembos for some time, a couple of years ago I decided to go a bit nuts and retrim the interior in Alcantara and build a new 500hp motor. An original closed deck 2L RS Liberty block was bored and sleeved to 2.5L, a set of AVCS heads was ported and modified in every way imaginable and a GT35R turbo and Motec M800 management was installed (as well as all the required supporting mods!). The build has been a slow process and right now the car is about 90% there having had a street tune while we iron out the kinks. As it stands the car still requires a full dyno tune and eventually a respray!
