Hi Guys - New '07 Liberty GT Owner (With Mods)

Hi all!

Owned my Liberty for a month now. Bought it mainly for work purposes. Privately bought (plus buying without seeing it in flesh) meant i was in for some surprises.

Most of which have been good ones i must say =) As you can see by my signature, the list of mods to this car is fairly large. None of which where mentioned in the advertisement, only in bits over the phone. Have all receipts as proof which is a huge relief. I was extremely skeptical but jumped into it after making a few phone calls to some mechanics who have worked on it.

Long story short - this car is a beast to drive, everything seems to be matched up perfectly and built professionally. Just trying to figure out the last few brands and models for some of the mods on it. I would love the insight of some of the guys who have superior knowledge and i will be posting pics from under the hood for help.

With a G-tech i pulled a 0-100km/h in 5.5s at 26degrees, 3 people in the car and accidently left the a/c on =P was an average launch too.. How does this compare to others?

I've tried to find a good list of 0-100km/h times on here but didn't find much.

Anyway guys i'm loving the info on here and look forward to further tweaking this crazy thing!

Cheers,
Aids

Welcome.
You got a lot of surprising goodies indeed! Would be interested in a rear shot to see the tinted tail lights

Thanx!

Here's the view from the rear for ya. Had to swap them back to original lights to get it transferred over the pits here, but they're back to black now ;)

And i haven't even mentioned the pile of original parts thrown in cause he couldn't be bothered selling them!
Driving back from Melbourne with the back seats down and a car full of exhaust/mufflers/turbo/lights/airbox certainly kept my speediness under control =\

I've seen this car in the flesh and can vouch for the quality and effort put into this car. It's an amazing machine. Credit goes to the previous owner for sure.

Looking forward to catching up with you again Aidan

Nice find.

You definitely should be able to get more than 180 out of it with a new tune.

Unless you really like 20" rims I'd get 18 or 19s instead.
Easier to live with and easier on the car.

I reckon he is looking for a KiDo tune for it soon. Be interesting to see if Matt can extract a few more killawasps out of it.

I'm disappointed previous owner didn't get a dyno printout with the 'real' tune of the car. I am lucky enough to have several dyno printouts as the car has been modified over the years. nice to look back on.

I'm thinking it should be making power easy into the 190's (fingers crossed). I want to have a chat with Matt in regards to tuning but not in the normal way he would do it. I use this car for work (towing a small trailer with my electrical gear in it). If i could get 3 separate maps using the SI drive it would be great.

As for the 20" rims, there's no budget to even look at changing them yet =\

Matt could most probably do a 'towing/economy' tune in S mode and all out 'power' mode in S#. Seems as though the limit isn't found yet with Matt's abilities. I would certainly run an email or a text message past him mate. I still have his number.

Mate, congrats on the buy and the finds!!! Good work.

I would expect that there would be more like 200kw ++ atw with an avo 400-450.

There is a guy on here that had a 400 or 450 cant remember on his auto gt and it made 210-220kw atw from memory. And selling his turbo setup too.

So you might have found a gem and a half with yours. Chat to Matt kido racing and you will find MANY supporters on here of his work and knowledge. He will definitely unlock the beast with in.

Thanx mate!
Do you have a name for the member who has the avo?? I reckon i got lucky with this buy, even though it somehow took over a year to sell. You'd be stupid not to be questioning it ay
