G'day everyone,

I'm Hayden and I'm 19 turning 20 in October. I live around Lilydale and am a second year Auto Electrician apprentice.

I came across this forum while looking into a car I was going to purchase and since purchasing have decided to join.

I would love to contribute to the forum and if anyone has any auto electrical questions, I would be more than willing to help them.

Now a bit about me;

I have been surrounded by cars my whole life with a Dad who is a mechanic and as a result absolutely love them :D

I have always been a Holden man and bought my first car when I was 16 off my uncle whose wife said he could no longer keep in the garage. It is a 1992 VP Calais which I still own and adore. I bought it standard and over the last few years and spent countless hours working on it (and money). I will never get rid of it.

Recently, purely by luck, I overheard my Dad talking to a long term customer who was wanting to sell her 2004 MY05 Liberty Wagon. One thing led to another and last Wednesday, I parted with my hard earned coin and walked away with the keys to my second car. It is a one owner, always garaged car with a mere 18,000km on the clock (approaching 19,000km after a weeks driving, ha ha).

I have plans for the wagon but really want to keep it a respectable car.

Anyway, this seems like a great forum without to many troublemakers like some forums and I look forward to meeting you all :D

I know Matt, I have already purchased "Euro Style" windscreen wipers and Silvervision indicators, and they are fairly inexpensive. Will be scary when the bigger mods begin.

I started the same with small modifications, next thing it was wheels and coilovers!

Forgot to mention that the wagon is a manual and has been garaged its whole life. The previous owner also gave me a folder with every receipt for the car included. I went through them and it has been serviced every 6 months regardless of kms (often had not even covered 1000km) and has been through 7 batteries since she bought it, ha ha.

Welcome Hayden :D sounds like you got the classic good buy in a little old lady's car with negligible kms in pristine condition! The start of your Subaru journey, lol. Happy modding and I'm sure your electrical expertise will be put to good use on this forum! :lol:

Wow, that's nearly one a year. She must have replaced it every time it went flat. :shock:
