Hey all,

I'm a long time reader, first time subscriber... Thought I'd join up after I just upgraded from a 2002 Subaru Liberty Heritage to a 2009 MY10 2.5GT Premium... Might I just say WHOA, what a nice ride!! I am absolutely in love with the power of it! <3

Anyway thought I'd introduce myself... Name's Tania and I'm from Melbourne in Kew!

Cheers!

Welcome, may I advise you remove the cat from the top mount intake, not good for aero or intake temps

You don't even know how often these guys here meet up. Judging from talks at last nite's mini meet, it seems almost a weekly thing for some.

I'm guessing that this is a predominant male forum/club?... Do girls exist? Lol... Haven't come across many female Liberty enthusiasts!

You might be the only active female on the site as far as I know?

Welcome Tania, :)

Nice looking car you have there.

You are probably the only active female on here at the moment.

What sort of interest do you have in Subaru's and what made you buy the GT. Did you consider any other cars?

Cheers.

I've always loved Subarus since I bought my first Liberty back in 2007... It was a 2002 Heritage... It's quite funny actually, it was a spur of the moment purchase. I was in the market for a car and was at a Subaru Dealership having only an intention to look at them, and then I fell in love with the Liberty.. It had everything- leather seats, spoiler, sunroof.. Being a 21 year old back then, I wanted something that looked cool lol... I just love the fact that they're AWD, I feel safer driving on the roads especially during wet weather, as I tend to have a bit of a heavy foot and used to slide with my Toyota Camry :D

But now that the car reached 10 years old, I started finding that a few costly services were in order: New Breaks, and a new head gasket (OUCH), wouldn't want to face anything more... So was wanting to upgrade and wanted something sporty, was looking at the BRZ and other sports coupes (Cons- no AWD), but found that most practical thing for me was a Sedan, and the GT was perfect!!! Love the Galaxy Blue, so it was the right colour, in a decentish price range... lol 8)

There are several female members. A few tend to conceal their gender ;)
It is mainly male though. :)
