At the last MoT (UK version of roadworthy test) - the tester said that my rear brake pads were low... right on border line fail - so change them... IN THE NEXT WEEK! LOL

So thought I'd do it properly - got some EBC Ultimax discs, EBC Redstuff pads, and some fresh droplinks... Thought I'd paint the calipers to match the fronts whilst I was there :D

Old droplinks were floppyier than a floppy thing
Image

The weather wasn't the best for painting outside... but hey it's only brake calipers
Image

Found a little decal that I thought might add a little bit of 'detail'

Image

Image

Well pleased with the result - not driven far - but car seems tighter with the new droplinks already 8)

Had a load of work done at CAMS Performance in Darwen (Lancashire  ) last week...

Image

Clutch bearing was misbehaving and squealing badly. They fitted a new Exedy pink Stage 1 clutch and a used Hawkeye WRX flywheel, replaced spigot bearing that was totally seized by then...

Image

Fitted new A/C condenser, idler pulley, belt and re-gassed, Fitted CDF Racing alloy pulleys and new FEAD belt.

Image

Fitted Whiteline KCA313 roll centre and bump steer correction kit and W/L droplinks...

Image

Changed engine oil for Millers CFS 5W40 Nanodrive, oil filter and gearbox and diff oils also done.

Fitted Subaru Legacy/Liberty Quick Shift...

Image

Wheel alignment was done by Phoenix Motorsport and the A/C was regassed 8)

She's running great now

Managed to pick up some facelift rear lights... Very pleased with them

Image

AND a replacement turbo bonnet in the right colour  The wrinkles on the old one weren't too noticeable - but it will be nice to have it sorted at last 8)

Just for info if anyone is needing to know... It will fit in the boot - JUST!

There is a method to it - Put it inward bonnet front down (right in pic), open rear door (left in pic) on windscreen edge, pull it into open doorway and flip bonnet to be front edge (right in pic) up and trailing edge (left in pic) down then move toward tailgate and lower front edge to sit on something 'comfy' ;) Removal is reverse of putting in ie open rear door and pull bonnet forward out of door and then lift that side upward...

DOH! - bonnet isn't quite the right colour...

Quite like it though... not sure whether to bother getting it painted just yet or not...

New Genuine STi splitter fitted as well - broke the previous one - a copy thankfully

Been looking for some Anthracite 18" Prodrive GT1s in 5x100 fitment for a while now...

Managed to pick some up for a bargain price  last week. So I will use them as my summer wheels and when I've worn out the tyres on the Blitzen 17" wheels they will get fitted with some good winter tyres... Another tick in the box

LOL - my old front lip  - not quite the same - but I get your point... Got a new grille badge on order now anyway...

Been test fitting a carbon rear diffuser tonight - could be made to work I think...

It looks a bit bent on the left, how are you securing it?maybe 1 small self tap screw either end. I was thinking of a rest diffuser but haven't found one to fit yet.

Where's the car lift you are always using?
