Hey all, just joined up to have a look around and check out options for a new family car. My wife and I are after 06-08 Liberty Wagon. Either a 3.0, 3.0R-B or a GT :) Couldn't see anything in the For Sale section, but there's a few on Carsales I've been looking at. Budget is mid-high 20's.

We have a toddler, so need it to take a car seat and the vast amount of luggage generated by a growing family.

Also, just wondering if the 4th gen wagons have anchor points for 2 child seats? Has anyone had any experience putting 2 seats in the back of one of these? I'm guessing it would be a little tight if you wanted to sit a passenger in the middle of the seats?

Can't go wrong with a wagon for family duties, they do have 2 anchor points and also iso points as well I think?

Thanks Gambit. Sounds good then :)

I've actually found something in Melbourne that I'm looking into now. If it all checks out, I could be a 3.0R-B wagon owner in the next few days 8)

i can highly rate the 3.0R-B as i drive one (wagon too) :D and yes, plenty of power and A LOT of room in the wagon too.

Well the new car arrived today on a truck from the dealer in Melbourne. Only problem was, it was missing about 6L of coolant from the radiator! :angry2: The coolant reservoir was full, but the radiator was empty :( I got about 10mins down the road from picking it up and the temp warning started beeping and the temp needle went to the top! Just what you need in peak hr when it's pissing down rain...

Anyways, it's home safe now. Hopefully I haven't damaged anything. Will clean it up over the weekend and post some pics once I've got it all registered up here etc.

That head gasket you popped maybe related to the emtpy coolant! More reason to blame the dealer for the repairs.
