Shit didn't notice this. Good pickup Hamish.
Those Groupon style things are a total scam in terms of business practices, it's designed to bring new customers to businesses but what it ends up doing is just getting freeloaders going once off to get a discount, and so the companies taking part in the discount coupon stuff will often majorly skimp on everything possible just so they can at least break even and not make a loss on the sale due to the huge discount from coupon customers.
Google "Groupon ruined my business" (or other similar terms) and see how it has ruined a lot of small business, and also how some less than respectable business owners are using groupon (and similar services) to scam customers out of their money by delaying/postponing coupon customers indefinitely, making them non refundable etc.
Basically the whole coupon thing is a flawed business model and cannot last, especially with it being gamed so heavily by a lot of dubious business owners.
Unless your Scoopon? is from a respected detailer (doubtful) you should really reconsider getting it done. Pretty much every company that partakes in these coupon deals knows full well that they will make an initial loss and hope to retain customers in the future, so expect your detail to be less than impressive. They will use inferior products and probably just use a meguiars wax like NxtGen 2.0 which might last a few weeks, but the idea being you are so impressed by the initial clean of the car that you will go back to them again. Most people don't realise their wax/sealant is gone, just that initial few days after they get the car detailed is all they remember.
