Greetings from Sydney
Hi all,
I've been lurking on these forums for a few weeks now and have finally decided to use some of the info here, so I figure I'd better post up a hello to everyone!
I'm currently driving an Aussie-spec 2008 2.5i NA 5MT Liberty sedan. This is my second Liberty, but my fifth Subaru car! Previously I owned three Impreza's over a period of about 9 years starting with an RX as my second car, but first Subaru, progressing to a WRX a few years later and eventually an STI of which the latter two were both used in supersprints, motorkhanas and so forth. Unfortunately with other priorities in life now taking precedence, I've settled on a more manageable car that is cheap to insure, but that still doesn't mean I don't try to have fun with it.
My first Liberty was a Gen3, but I didn't really enjoy it due to not being able to really "do" anything with it, so I moved up to a Gen4 which opened up many more tinkering options.
The car is still largely stock, but I am currently looking into getting some tuning by Edward from Xtreme Racing Tuning done to make the car a little more driveable, but I haven't seen anything about 2.5i's being tuned (apparently the 2.5i's don't have AVCS, so not yet sure what benefit I may gain from tuning), so it looks like I may become a bit of a guinea pig! Next month I plan to upgrade front & rear swaybars and perhaps upgrade the suspension with something like the Bilsteins that Wheelpower are selling.
Anyway, look forward to getting more out of these forums and possibly even meeting some of you down the track.
Cheers!
