+ 1 for the ACT

Hey all,

I've been loitering around here for a little while now, doing a bit of research, checking out all the awesome cars and what not and figured it's time to join in.

I almost bought an 04 Liberty GT a few years back when I was looking for my last car but I ended up with a 2000 Audi S3.
I recently felt like an update (something newer with plenty of life for me to waste all my cash on mods) and it was an Audi S4 or a GT, and here I am with a 2006 (MY07) GT Spec B.

Name: Reuben
Ride: MY07 Liberty GT Spec B (silver)
Location: ACT
Mod: Currently I have a clean slate... More expensive but more amusing.
Plans: For now a little performance, a little handling and a little beautification.
Year of birth: 1984

Maybe I should also start a post for my grand modding plans. Plans that I'm sure will unfortunately be limited by cashflow :(

Welcome to the forum mate. We should be doing a catch up soon to make up for the one we just organised that no one could make it to!

Cool, I'll have to keep my eye out and hope I'm free.
I'll have to get some pre mod pics soon too so I'll post a couple when I do.

Nice choice - I sold my S4 and replaced it with an 07 TBSTi Liberty. The Liberty is a much more practical car.

Yeah, but I still love the audis. I'm sure I'll be back one day. Maybe a current model S4 avant in a few years time. Or you never know, Subaru might (no delusions here) make a nice looking liberty gen VI.

I'm missing the hatch a little but only every now and then.
I almost wish I got a wagon but I'm very happy with the sedan.

Especially with the new exhaust I put in last weekend, which I'll get some video of when I get a chance.

I also tried a pod filter but the noise was too much for me so there'll be a near brand new pod with box going up for sale soon.

Which pod filter did you get?

The Cobb Tuning SF intake and air box.
It was good and looked nice in the engine bay but in the end I didn't think I could live with the intake noise long term so I'm back on the stock box with high flow filter.

For me i'm happy with the noise-power trade off.

It's not that much of an increase in power anyway so you haven't lost much. I found that my intake is bearable, the Apexi one. But I don't have much to compare it to other than the Blitz one which is apparently extremely loud.
