Made it home :)

Hey fellow Lib fans

I've only just got back from an epic drive back from NSW to WA to pick up my 2007 GT Sti #230.
4 days 5000kays :)

The car was previously owned by Troy from prospeedracing (you would know him on rexnet forums)

The car is in ecellent condition and I'm loving it, I previously owned an my04 Lib GT which was great,
But just wasn't quite what I wanted (yanno auto) anyway now I'm set. Let the money pit begin

No photos at the moment. Just doing this on the iPhone.

Plans (well what I would like to do anyway)
* firstly I've gotta roll the guards (19's don't squeeze in the greatest)
* looking at some kind of satnav/DVD player. (Any ideas?????)
* contemplate weather or not I should chuck on the coilovers that came with it
* exhaust of some sort, I like the quiet but want a little burble.
* engine mod parts are an endless opportunity

Most likely I'll find something great on here which I'll want to add to the list :)

Nice new ride!

For the DVD/SAT NAV see here:

For the Exhaust get some decent rear mufflers first as see if that's enough noise for your liking :D

Does anyone else think having a sign saying "Historical marker", right in front of the gateway so it obscures part of the gateway, is a silly idea? :?

Haha nah man i dont think they will be coming off for a while, although if your ever around perth feel free to nick them, there isnt a locking nut on them at the moment (slightly concerning :? )

whats the website to get the genuine sti parts, like i know theres a site whee you can build your own WRX sti (well by build i mean get a rex and be asked if you want to add on extreemly overpriced items) anyway whats the site. it had alot of parts for the 07 libs,,,,,,,,,i.e locking nuts

hmmm to after market coilover or to not??? that is the question

Heh Heh this is hilarious! i just bought my 2008 GT tb STI from WA to ACT early last month    You would have almost past it going the other way on the truck (I couldn't bear to add 5000km to the clock  for a car that only has about 28,000km on it). Definitely fit the coilovers for that ride-height-on-demand functionality. Anyway mine's still in a fair few pieces at the moment, at least exhaust and swaybars should be a good improvement for any GT.

How much did it cost to get it transported by Truck? Sounds expensive

I was quoted $700 from Noosa to Melbourne when I bought my Gen2 GT.

I flew there for $135 and drove it home in 18 hours instead. :D
