MY06 Liberty 3.0RB... and me =)

I've been a long time reader of the forum and have found it very useful for finding out info so I thought it was about time I introduced myself and my car.
Well, I'm Leigh and I own a 2006 Liberty 3.0RB. I bought it in 09 and planned to do nothing to it... but that soon changed. I started wondering what the EZ30 would sound like with an exhaust, so after a bit of research on the net I found a couple of videos that had decent sound quality and the sound of the exhaust was quite impressive! Booked her in at a local exhaust shop and had her fitted with a custom 2.5" Cat back to dual 2.25" tail pipes, straight through mufflers and 4" tips. Result... AWESOME! (IMO)
Next, stereo! Unfortunately the MY06 was fitted with the McIntosh system with no MP3 playback or ipod integration so it had to go! For my birthday the MRS bought (well paid for) the replacement double din AV panel set from avoJDM and a Pioneer AVH-P3200BT stereo. It took me about a week to do the swap, having to fabricate an adapter to go from the factory amp din cord to 3 sets of RCAs to connect the amp to the new stereo. After a lot of frustration and trial and error I finally got it working.
Last, wheels! I fell in love with the Advan Connoisseur 151c (thanks to a couple cars on here) but couldn't afford $5K. So I started the search for something else and stumbled across the Advanti Almeras at a local tyre shop! These were half the price of the Connoisseurs and included tyres. Paid the deposit and a week later she was fitted =) Oh yeah!
So anyway, I hope you like her as much as I do. A big thanks to the forum, If it wasn't for others sharing their ventures in here I wouldn't of been able to do what I have.

I find it interesting to see though. How different our cars look now, compared to how identical they would have looked stock. I guess thats what modding is all about. Making it yours!
