G'Day Guys,

Just joined after purchasing a neat little 96 Liberty GX Wagon. It's my second suby and it's itching for some mods.
I have a few ideas: upgrading from the factory 15" wheels to 17" and lowering it, mild throaty exhaust for a little more performance.
Any suggestions for this noob would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
Chris

Welcome buddy.

My suggestion, if you're thinking wheels as a 1st mod, is to talk to Wheelpower (Greenacre) or Tempe Tyres (Tempe) both NSW who both have a bunch of virtually brand-new MY07/08 Spec B wheels with OEM Bridgestone Potenza tyres that they're selling cheap as. From memory prices are $200 per tire & $150 per wheel, so total $1400 for compelte set of 18's with brand new Bridgy's! In my opinion OEM beats aftermarket any day :D

Above is "each" price, so reckon you could talk turkey & get a better price if you buy a full set. Both dealers will ship to Canberra, or take a run up the freeway...

Thanks heaps guys for the feedback. Nico, would they have 17 inch wheel and tyre packages? I'm a bit hesitant to go up to 18s as I may have to roll the guards.
Others have told me that suspension would also be compromised (bit more expensive?) I found this hard to believe, I've probably been told porkies.
Also looking to put a mild exhaust on, nothing too loud/showy.

Yeah he has 17" WRX wheels as well. Don't know about tires. Check the ebay listing http://cgi.ebay.com.au/SUBARU-IMPREZA-M ... 27b449b0f4 By the way I'm not affiliated with thos guy at all, just wanna help you out.

17's shpoudl be fine without any guard mods. Yes going up in wheel size will slightly effect your ride quality but I think this has more to do with the lower profile tires you'll need to make the wheels fit.
