Next ride on the list is a Gen4 3.0 R-B Wagon.
I just need a buyer for the GT Leggy

I drive past you every morning and arvo on or around the Tasman Bridge, im going from town to the eatern shore in the mornings. Admire this car everytime i see it, very nice example. Ive got a 3.0r-b wagon ill make sure i flash lights next time i see you.

Haha only just got it. Been waiting for ages. Found it in Launceston of all places too. so was lucky. There is a sedan in town, but a bit over priced i think. And there was a wagon, up opposite performance autos but i think thats sold now.

There is a 2.5 GT-b in lonnie at Buckby's. White 08 i think, but they want 39k for it. which IMO is too much.

I saw a white gen 3 gt wagon as well, but it had an aweful lot of spoilers on it, looked a bit too over the top for me but each to thier own.

Yeah its strange, there were around 10 for sale on carpoint when i got mine, and now when i looked this morning there are only 2. Are you going to go for a manual, as there was an auto STI wagon for sale in Launceston a little while ago, not sure if it still is tho.
The only thing i wish i had with mine was the tow pack, not that i tow anything specific atm, but it would be a handy addition as i can imagine i will be towing things in the near future and the option of having a trailer instead of loading up the inside of the car would be nice, maybe something ill look into.

yep, i want the 6-slotter manual this time around.
my legacy is auto and i bought it because it was an auto.
i'm just not a fan of the logic of most modern auto's especially with DBW throttle.
definitely need a tow-pack on mine, i tow junk all the time

The 6 speed is brilliant. just matches really well with the engine.
i got lucky with mine, my previous car was about to go up for sale, and i'd written off being able to afford one of these and was going to settle for a 2.5i or outback as the closest thing, then the old car blew a head gasket, and was going to cost more than i was going to have it for sale for to fix, so it went to the wrckers. Then the next day while checking the net the 3.0 popped up and just right place right time really. Had to pay a bit more than i was originally looking at spending but worth every cent.

Are you likely to mod it, noticing the mods on your gen 2!

reflash tune for 98RON. i'd like it to be a genuine 200KW+ (flywheel) and sharpen up the DBW response
tints
maybe swaybars/ braces if the rear needs them
apart from that, it shouldn;t need much

the leggy was heavily modified before i bought it. i just finished off the good work the original owner started
he had much bigger plans to begin with though

In that case i wont suggest modding a GT. haha.
Sways are another thing i would like to do, having driven both wagon and sedan in the 3.0 the sedan had less roll, which i'd like to fix. But soulds like your in the same boat as me as far as mods. The DBW thing annoys me, but im slowly getting used to it, it all feels a bit fake on take off, once i get around to it, and get the cash and cables etc im going to get westminst to do mine and tune the ecu as well.
but tints, sways maybe some s-tech springs, and the tune will prob do me i rekon. unless that starts the bug again. haha.Ill keep an eye out for you, i spend a bit of time trolling through for sale and auction sites, if something comes up ill let you know.
