Hi all

I'm Nick and i just purchased a 04 model Subaru Liberty 2.5l

Previous cars include the following:

Mitsubishi Lancer Evo3 - Forged internals
Mitsubishi Lancer GSR 94'
Holden Torana SLR 5000 replica
Holden Torana 355 stroker (built by myself)

Never had a subaru before but this car is awesome!
Always loved 4WD and the 2.5l is pretty punchy for a non turbo.

Mods in the pipeline:

Double Din dash facia upgrade (already contacted Phat GT for this) - then getting it done in Carbon Fibre
GT Liberty GPS system
Momo steering wheel, pedals and gear knob (see links below if interested)

http://www.autotek.com.au/shop/pedal-kit-gtr2.html
http://www.autotek.com.au/shop/s-knob-gtr2-s.html
Wheels are undecided yet, tossing up between Enkeis and a few other designs
Larger exhaust (not too large though)
Coilovers

Anyone who can help with any of this is welcome to PM me as i'm in the market for some if not all of it now :)

Cheers

Hi Nick and welcome,

Couple of suggestions

- Steering wheel. Do not change it to non airbag unless you want a car that can be red canaried at any time and becomes an insurance issue in the event of an accident.

- Shifter knob. Don't buy generic ones which have an interference/bolt fitment design. They come loose and are generally annoying. Buy a Subaru specific (aftermarket) knob which has the proper threaded shaft and boot clip.

Cheers Jim.

Will consider the advice, last time i decked my evo out with Momo though so it didn't move around even though it wasn't on the thread etc.
I'll see how i go though.

cheers

My 2 cents - that pedal kit wouldn't suit a 2.5 liberty interior. Yes your evo maybe but would look ricey as amongst your interior. Plus illegal.

Go the aluminium GT specB pedals.

Welcome Nick,
Maybe check out Brandsport. They're a U.S. site that ship to Aus.
They stock a lot of shift knobs, pedals & accessories. I bought a Momo/Subaru shift knob from them and was very happy with product and delivery.
