Hi everyone,

Im picking up a manual MY05 3.0R-b wagon in the dark metallic blue next week, so i thought id join up and say g'day.

I live down in Tassie, dunno if there are many other members on here from down here, but either way i've been looking around for a week or so getting info on the H6's to make sure there arent going to be any bad surprises waiting for me and the sites been a great help already. Looking forward to getting back into a lib, been out of subies for 4 years or so.

Anyway, ill post some pics up when i pick the car up and have given it a good detail.

Got the template from the top, so i thought id better fill that in.

Welcome Matt.
Some very nice drivin' in Tassie, beautiful place.
That's quite a list of cars you have there. The H6 sounds nice.
Post some pics when you can.

Yeah, tis a bit of a list, i love things that i can play with, but the volvo did a head gasket and was too much to fix, then the next day this lib popped up for sale, so i couldnt help myself.
One day when my budget and time permits ill get another alfa/lancia and play with that. but will keep this lib for a while. Thats the plan anyway.

Picking it up tomorrow arvo, so should have pics by wednesday.
Some great driving roads down here, cant wait.

Ive put some pics up in team blue, but forgot to put them up in here. So thought id better, being still new here and the like.

Thanks so far to everyone who has helped me out.
Forums give me the modding bug, so im sure ill have questions and mods to put up in the near future. If anyone comes to tassie or is in tassie id be keen for meets etc. and will be making the trip to the mainland soon, going to melbs in 2 weeks, but not with the car unfortunately, so will have to take t over and get a proper tune at some point. :D

Yeah very clean, i was very impressed actually, and i like to keep my cars very clean.

Got the 150k service due by the end of the year and need new front bushes, so theres the first mod which i will have to organise soon. From there i think it may be a set of quad tips and rear mufflers over summer, HID's for lights and foggies, and LED parkers.. then maybe an sti lip and possibly new wheels, but that may have to wait a bit. haha, cant help myself

Nice photos of your new ride there Matt and a belated welcome to the forums from me.

You picked a winner with the H6, smooth linear power delivery that just hums ( I was previously a H6 owner with Team Silver )

Enjoy the forums and sorry for your wallet ( err the cost of mods ) :D

Just a quick update,

Had a slowly deflating front passenger tire, after being forced into a pothold by a driver coming towards me on the wrong side of the road.
Went to hopefully get the leak fixed, turns out all 4 tires on the car at under a year old have large cracks in the sidewalls on the inside of the tire.

Took them back with reciepts to the place of purchase, and they will do a warranty claim on them and ill be recieving 4 brand new tires, and a wheel balance etc for free tomorrow. Can't argue with that for service.

Also picked up some LED parkers from Leo, and have my club stickers on now. just waiting for enough of a break in working hours to take and upload some photos.

Looking for a short shifter kit and maybe some s-techs in the near future, and a window tint and XRT tune are on the cards later on as well, once i get the appropriate cables etc.

Other than that, just enjoying the car. They are a lovely car to drive. :)

great choice of car there Matt...

I test drove one for an '05 Liberty 3.0RB for Robb the other day and it reminded me why I got the 3.0RB in the first place... the power delivery and 6spd box is just beautiful... :) Just wished that I had bought mine in a manual :(

Good luck with the car - might see you around Hobart when I'm down there next... as I work with Hydro Tasmania

Oh nice, be good to catch up with members if they are around hard to put names to faces when there aren't many people down here and i rarely get across to the other states.

How often are you here? Fly in and out, or drive down.

My last car was auto, and i couldnt deal with it. haha. Much prefer a manual, a lot more precise and involving, which is what i like. :)

Nice name :P

Go Team Matt 8) Go Team Wagon 8)

H6 in manual has proven to be a fantastic drivers car... A nice exhaust, intake & a tune will bring out it's best that's for sure :D

remove all the resonators and extra junk in-front of the throttle body
just leave a good-flowing factory airbox of some description with a good cold air feed would keep the factory look about it
something like this

or go in-guard with a pod filter
