Introduce yourself

I finally bit the bullet

Postby WeeGraeme » Fri Jun 29, 2007 10:04 pm

Well I finally bit the bullet today. I ordered a silver 2.5i sedan. I'm not sure how long it will be as I'm salary sacrificing it. I've seen them go through in 2 weeks or as long as 8 weeks. I'm assuming that being end of financial year and all, it isn't likely to be two weeks. :-)

Not that anyone has ever made me feel less than welcome in this forum, but I now feel like I'm legitimately entitled to post in this forum. 8)

Realistically, not a whole lot. The main savings are tax savings.

I went to a dealer in Brisbane just before 30 June and was given a price. The salesman also said that the current offer from Subaru (free on roads) was only until 30 June. That price was pretty much matched, after 30 June, although I see that the free on roads offer is still shown on the Subaru website.

The price they've offered me for my trade-in was quite good though (from speaking to some other people). It's also higher than the Redbook pricing even though my car has done more than the indicative range shown in Redbook.

Maybe I could have negotiated a better price, but as it's being leased, the cost savings wouldn't have been that great unless I'd managed to get thousands more off. It may or may not have been the absolute best deal I could have got, but I'm happy with it.

I'm starting to get very impatient now. :-)

Hey man congratulations on the purchase!

Get some pics up as soon as you've picked her up! Good choice on the colour too. Never used to be a big fan of silver cars but lately it seems I cant stop thinking bout spraying mine silver! :p
