thnx chief.

im very fond of the simmons. i hear a strong rumour that they might be closing shop for good. be a real shame because they build some amazing wheels. hard to compete against the china syndrome and i admit the need to update and offer a larger range of wheels, a one piece forged race wheel wouldn't be a bad start. seriously for the money, the simmons is good. three piece wheel with custom offset that are less than half the price of something similar from hre? yes please.

saying that, hre make some sexy wheels 8) the new carbon series combines the best of what they do with the best of what dymag does. carbon inner with a billet outer. you guy better sit down, prices start at around 4500$ EACH!

Simmons have always had great build quality and I have to agree that they need to expand their model line up be able to keep in the race so to speak. I really hope that rumour you heard about them closing isn't true...... Not much of anything left these days that is TRUE BLUE AUSSIE MADE !

201 is back in my hands friday, needed a touch up after the albany trip, stone chips are not cool!

and the 'rw, well....one day

Yeah fricking stone chips - upsetting man!!! I've heard of an outfit called "ozzy cozzy" who operate out of Sydney. They fit out vulnerable parts of your car with clear a plastic film that protects your car from the dreaded stone chip fairy!! Porsche vehicles come with it from factory for the 'sticky out bits' of their body work. I'm considering it on my car

yeah i need to do something. its a tough choice between keeping the thing wrapped in cotton wool or actually taking it out and enjoying the car. wrx supercruises to york and especially the trip to albany took its toll on the front of the car.

worth it just for the spectacular photos and those amazing roads!

Welcome Ramon.
I would love to see a few more pics of the Liberty mate as those FR's are an absolute favorite of mine.
You said they have a 50mm offset, but what width are they?

I have found this forum a pleasure to be apart of mate.
A bunch of great guys that will always help out in any way they can.

Welcome again and hope to see some more pics soon.

Cheers.

name's ramon. new to the forum, however not new to subaru's!

i was referred to the forum/community by my good friend jimmy s of toon my ride fame (infamy?)

its my first liberty. its a 03 build, 04 plated silver geniv gt premium-pack with sports-shift.

had it for about 6 months. its strickly a daily driver so nothing off the chain, but with everything i manage to get my hands on it always turns into something a little on the dangerous side.

currently sporting polished simmons with 50mm offset lowered on dms coil-overs within a mm of its life (looks amazing, rides like poo) and featuring rather silly harrop race car brakes all round, why? why not! not to mention the must have exterior mods, 19% metallic tint and silver eyelids from current trendz, custom grill and a few carbon touches here and there...ahh yes, zerosport floormats too, how cool is that!

future plans are a see as we go philosophy. motec perhaps, fmic maybe, spec c engine with twin scroll vf36. its all spare parts i have lying around from years of building wrx's so why not! 8)

hope to see you guys around. ill be @ rexpo this weekend with the car, might catch up with a few of yas!

regards,

ramon
