I work for a reputable dealership, and it's actually illegal for them to sell a car if you've put a deposit on it.

Yeah I'm a motorcycle salesman by day and it was just very poor practise on their behalf, I'm not going to slander online but without a contract being sent to me to sign subject to viewing and the fact they never actually ran the card details through resulted in another salesperson selling the car unknowingly i had 'left a deposit'.. Oh well onwards and upwards, the longer we wait the higher the budget grows haha, something better will come along

Still on a mad liberty hunt guys, just a quicky, starting to lean more towards a GT, what are the autos like? Now I'd rather a manual but it's not my car, the misses has always had manuals but would like an auto, going to also be used for towing my bike to the track and possibly a jetski down the track so I may be giving in to the idea of the auto

Hi Mav

Hope the new car is settling in well. Not quite the same I know, but have towed with my MY00 Outback a few times, without any problems. Mainly just a box trailer and short distances, but the auto seems to handle the task OK, even with a trailer full of slightly damp paving sand.

Definitely want to see pics in an intro thread, if you haven't done so already.

Doubt ill be heading down Wednesday with these floods! But either way what should I be looking for with this GT, like in the books etc, it's timing belt every 100,000 isn't it? It's got 157000km but apparently has logbooks with it
