Hi all,

Name: Adam
Ride: MY08 Liberty GT wagon tuned by STI - Pearl White
Location: WA, Perth
Mod: Standard STI kit at the moment, front & rear parking sensors
Plans: ECU re-tune, Audio mods (Sub, amp, speakers), Carbon Fiber wing mirrors, custom sat nav/media screen to replace cubby
Occupation: Mining Engineer
Year of birth: 1987
Interest: Craft Beer, Cruising (usually not combined tho )
Previous Rides: nil

Thought id join up as a member here as I have just purchased my first car which is an 08 liberty GT wagon tuned by STI today. Havnt actually got it sitting in my drive way as of yet but hopefully will get to pick it up on Tuesday. My mate pointed me in the direction of these forums as he also owns a GT Spec B '07 sedan and said I could find some useful information on here. Im from WA so would be interested in tagging along on any cruises that might be held in the near future and getting to meet some of you other liberty owners?

Cant wait to go pick up my car next week and finally take it for a proper spin. I havn't taken any photos of it yet but ill upload some once i receive it :)

Firstly, Welcome mate! Secondly. Hold up...when you say first car....do you mean first car? That is a pretty hot (and expensive) ride for a first car

Im going to go with AAMI as they quoted $846 which includes no claim bonus protection.

RAC charge an extra $100 for this.

Excess for AAMI is either $300 or $400 cant remember.

Yer dunno, i guess it depends on the area you keep the car, your previous driving history and if you still owe money on the car.

Also i havnt modded it yet...hmm wonder what i should do first?

Depends a lot on how old you are too.

just because its his first car doesnt mean he is a p plater, or teenager. :)

Hoff, im paying about the $800 mark for my car through AAMI, not offset by larger premiums, and we have nearly the same car. Im only 24, and was paying the same amount for my previous 2.5 litre turbo car, (non lib)

Welcome to the forum tho mate. Nice purchase, especially as a first car.
Be sure to post up some pics.
