Belated New Member Introduction - Luke's BP5 Liberty GT

Postby Regashi.BP5 » Thu Nov 09, 2023 9:46 pm

Hello to you all! :D

Have been on the forums for a couple of months now and thought I should introduce myself finally.

Firstly, my name is Luke (or Lukas), I’m 34, located in Perth, WA and am currently working as a Hydraulic Hose and Brake Line Technician.

In July of this year I purchased a MY04 Liberty GT Wagon (BP5 / EJ20X / 5-Speed Auto). This is my first Liberty (aka. The Gentleman's WRX), however it is not my first Subaru. Since 2012 I have owned an MY01 WRX ‘BugEye’ Sedan, an MY05 WRX ‘BlobEye’ Wagon and an MY07 WRX ‘HawkEye’ Wagon. Other cars along the way have included a 63’ Lincoln Continental, 02’ Nissan Cedric Y34, 02’ Nissan Stagea M35 etc.

I absolute love the BP5 so far, took ownership of it in great condition with tasteful modifications and is in good hands to further its journey.

Here is a List of Current Modifications –
• WORK Meister S1-3P @ 18” x 9.5” +48 w/ Bridgestone Potenza RE003 @ 235/40 R18
• Full Respray in Garnet Red Pearl / 33J (April 2022)
• Pedders Extreme XA Coilovers, DBA Slotted Rotors, Ultrex Front Strut Bar, Whiteline Upgrades
• Ultrex Front Lip, Carbon Front Grille, Valanti LED Tail Lights
• Custom UEL Headers + Up-Pipe, X-Force Cat-Back Exhaust, Hi-Flow Twin Scroll VF38, AEM Cold Air Intake
• Tuned by Tokyo Motorsport - 225hp/168kW + 345Nm @ 18psi

Future (Hopeful) Plans and Adventures –
• Front + Rear +50mm Wide Body/Fenders
• EJ207 + 6-Speed Manual Conversion
• Full Air-Bag Suspension Install
• MOAR!! Carbon Fibre Goodies etc.

Thanks for making it this far and for having me as part of the Liberty community! :air_kiss:

Go the wagon. Pretty stout power from an internally-stock 2 litre too.

Looking very nice. :D
Had a few deer jump on my wagon so it isn't as pretty but it is sweet. Spec C GT. Currently 498k on original engine. Still pulls, uses no oil or coolant. Recently did over 2000km towing a boat at the speed limit. Only revved over 2500 for 2 hills between Sydney and the Sunshine coast & back. Didn't need to add any oil or coolant the whole trip. Of course it has to die soon, but if you keep changing that oil with the good stuff they seem to go forever. I have 3 Subaru wagons.
