Introduce yourself

Bitten by the Liberty bug!

Postby Mr Ryan » Tue Oct 06, 2015 6:13 am

Well good morning every one! I hope everyone had a good long weekend.

My name is Ryan and I'm from Abottsford N.S.W and I've just fallen in love with the liberty. It only took one trip in my mates beautiful ride, who is also a recent convert I must add (we were both formally v dubbers)and I'm convinced I must now own one!!! The tourqe is mesmerising and the handling is crisp and smooth. I have literally just put my car up for sale and I'll be asking the bank what I am allowed today, the devil will also be getting a letter just in case my soul is worth any thing too...

So I would like to introduce myself as a recovering VAG addict and it's been 21 days since I've touched anything on my car :alcoholic:

I must say I am a huge fan of the silver 07 08 models already they look the absolute ducks! Hopefully I will be able to ride with you all soon!

Thanks Ryan

Welcome,

Which Post Face Lift model Gen4 unit takes your fancy?
Mine is a 3.0R-B Wagon, and I find the wagons just a wonderful package.
The 3.0R running on E85 is bliss!

Get yourself in an 07-09 GT Spec B Manual Wagon - or a 3.0 04-09
They all have the 6 speed manual, which is awesome.
Note the manual wagons aren't hugely common, but they are the best :)

I really like the look of the 08 gt spec b sedan in silver/ grey. Black looks pretty boss as well!
Manual is the only way to go as I really enjoy driving. Recently did a snowy range trip!

A question for you fellas.what kind of price am I looking at for major servicing? like timing belts pulleys and pumps. I'm quite confident with minor ie: brakes, fluids and plugs. So I would take care of that as normal every 5000ks.

Just don't want any nasty surprises when it comes to major servicing costs when I commit to one of these bad boys! :D

Sorry, I cannot advise on servicing costs through dealers/workshops.
I do all my family's car servicing and source parts requirements from the best cost suppliers locally and overseas.

So guys I have purchased an absolutely amazing car!

It was from a fellow forum member who has taken beautiful care of his car and has now passed it on!

I'm hoping to continue the build and finish what Michael has started!
The list of mods on this means most of the heavy lifting is done. I will wait till I get better acquainted with her first before I finish the job, but all I can say is wow!
