This was done back in 07 so I guess that qualifies as 'back in the day'?
If so how effective is this IC and should I be looking at upgrading again?

It's not the worlds greatest intercooler, but it's perfectly fine - and it fits under the engine cover. I have one and it works fine for me, I made 225 odd kw with it, so it can't be that bad. I wouldn't bother upgrading until you can go a PW verticooler in any case.

Verticooler is PW latest thing.. It goes in sort of sideways where the TMIC goes and has a custom bracket and hood duct. You can of course go FMIC - just more irritating with the pipework etc, and not a whole lot of payoff on a typical setup.

PW won't be doing a verticooler for libs, they couldn't get it to fit under the liberty bonnet without making it too small. So the only significant upgrade would be a front mount but as matt said it's not a huge gain at this level.

Ah, sorry I misunderstood, I thought they were going to make one but had to make it a different size.. My bad. But yeah not worth it really

He said he "may" revisit it one day, but he said probably not as the liberty market is quite small.

IIRC matt, the hyperflows are good for 250kw +....so hang on to yours..

Thanks shav,
Link to this GB?

I'm open to any suggestions anyone has, I'm the type of person that doesn't go crazily overboard with extreme mods but I like to put the best quality stuff on my cars that I can possibly afford.

The group buy is for a TMIC which you don't need :)

Sorry I thought you jumped on the list.

Here it is. The more we have the cheaper it will be for all. But just check with Jack to see if it will fit your car
