Well well well, what a car! Maybe it's the "2 months sitting in the garage" talking, but that thing is amazing. Unfortunately I didn't have a whole heap of time to go driving yesterday but fortunately just over the hill from my place are the 'country' type back roads behind Upper Coomera in to Willow Vale etc. so I could go for a quick loop around there.
The thing is quick! Quicker than I was expecting and the handling awesome, especially when delivered through the Damd Steering Wheel. Happier than a pig in sh#t.
The hand controls I'm getting use to more and more with every trip. The most challenging aspect of the new system will be fine manoeuvring, in and out of garage, parking etc. the install has been beautifully done. There were no carbon fibre sets in the country so they've installed black and will change over the trim on the brake lever in a couple if weeks and give me a new carbon wireless accelerator. It's such a leap from the old fossil push/pay controls everyone has been using for years and years. It's bizarre that steering with two hands feels so foreign now. They weren't able to use the heated seat switches I got due to being a numb hazard on the centre console. Too easy to knock with an elbow and boom, no controls! The two switches are hidden away very nicely and I don't think anyone that didn't know they were there would find them without being shown. Pics to come and maybe even a video demonstrating the use of the system if anyone's interested.
All in all, very happy. Now to go on a big run.
