New Member with some questions related to Gen 1 Liberty

Hey guys, long time stalker of the forums, finally decided to join.

Quick intro, i got my 1st and only car about 2 or so years ago now, a Blue Gen 1 Subaru Liberty LX (first question; its made in 91, cant remember the month, late that year, is it a MY91 or 92? which do i refer it as? it is the facelift version so i assume 92?) it is very low K's, its just about to hit 82,000km's (Old ladies car, got it super cheap too, no issues except its apparently on its 3rd clutch, was told 2nd when i got then my step mother told me 3rd clutch and said thats what she said all along, it was her mothers car bought brand new here in QLD, have to check out the "hill hold cable" apparently) its still 100% stock ATM besides a stereo, hubcap things removed with cheap ones from supercheap, and the ugly sun visor thing on the rear window removed (for sale if anyone wants).

Damage: Paint missing in about 4-5 little areas where Bat droppings ate it away between the time it went from 1st owner, my step mother holding it, till i got a hold of it at about the 74 thousand K's mark. scratches and marks on both front and rear bumpers (from before i got it) one of the number plate light holders is pretty scratched due to someone stealing the light out of it and the shopping centre in broad daylight. no major dents, small ones in bonnet from step mothers drunk neighbours. all the vents are cracked for some reason (it was in a garage most of its life until about 2010-11) one decent crack in the middle where the 2 vents are going through the main piece of the dash. other then that not really anything else i can think of.

so ive stalked this forum quite a bit before, got alot of answers out of it, and more questions too, ill try to moderate my posts the best i can. first post will be an all rounder, so i wish it were 4wd instead of fwd, cost of conversion say buying a GX for bits, certificates for road worthy and such? main things i want to do right now exhaust (issue with the Cat ATM and muffler is rusting through, almost has a hole) do i go a 2 and 1/4 size exhaust line? am aiming for a high flow Cat. want to get the Sway bars Front and Rear and 05 Liberty 17" rims and paint them somewhere from gold to bronze.

but im low on money atm (lost my job last year) only just got my P's a few months ago, and atm needs brake pads, new CV i think it was (will be replaced when it starts to click) and rocker cover gasket blah blah blah things (terrible memory is something you need to know about me)

1992 Subaru Liberty LX (Phoenician Blue) - stock engine, stock exhaust, stock rims, well lets just say its mostly stock right now, actually the only thing that's not original is the oil cap and the stereo.

Sounds like a bit of work ahead. Priorities though. Brakes and safety issues should be addressed primarily then aesthetics after

Love the old school lines of the gen 1 take me back. Should chuck some more pics up. Can never have too many pics

yea, just thought id put up this pic at first, is the best i have of the car, and this week im buying the gaskets and hopefully have money for the brakes, then hopefully soon i can start on the exhaust line, been told 2 1/4 line from most people (i have a pod filter thats not in atm, it chews petrol and a few people have said the bigger exhaust will even that out) but another person told me 2 1/2 and some have said 2 or smaller since its a "small" engine, i think ill just go the 2 n a quarter. anyone want to point out little items that dont cost too much that fix little issues, or just make the car look better and ill look into them.
