Hi everyone,

Very soon to be a new GT owner after a 4 month wait. 2-3 more weeks and then I will be a happy camper.

Spoke to the dealer today and was told that I will actually be getting an MY14 model, not the MY13 I had ordered. Will take the sting out of the extra delay for sure.

Not the first Lib I have owned. Had a MY00 Liberty Heritage Wagon from new.

Enjoying some good threads here.

Cheers.

Thanks.

Ive optioned it with the short shift kit and rear spoiler.

Ive got no idea what the MY14 wheels look like. Ive been told by the dealer that they are different. If anyone can point me in the direction of some spy pics that would be great. I havent seen any yet but havent looked to hard either. If the wheels look as poxy as the MY13 ones do, they will go at the first tyre change.

It will get an exhaust (Cat back) in the first 6 months. Nothing too radical though.

Apart from that, the only other possible upgrade is front braided lines and front calipers & rotors in that order.

I'm just itching to get the car! It's been 4 months!

Finally!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now the proud owner of the first MY14 Liberty GT 6MT in Aus.

Definately worth the 4 month wait and while I havent spotted any cosmetic change from the MY13 to the 14, the extra couple of percent in my pocket come changeover time will be great.

Delivery ks on it were only 20. A trip to see the bunnies flog the roosters in Sydney on Friday plus kids sport in Cooma on Saturday will give me 1000ks to make my smile even bigger.

And for those of you who have thought about the short shift kit, think harder and do it. Well worth it.

Been a while so I thought id give you all a quick update.

Now done 13,000ks and actually going in for its 12,500k service tomorrow. Overall, it's just a blast. Really really happy with my decision on colour and loving having a turbo.

As far as what i'd like to do with it, def going to be a different steering wheel. I figure the amount of driving I do, a really nice steering wheel will be a massive improvement.

DAMD or DTM (They come out of the same Taiwanese factory)........not sure yet.

The thing I am learning to live with is the GPS.....it's just.....well its shit!

The thing i'm going to fix is the chronic understeer when I am having some fun around Canberra's roundabouts. A pair of Whiteline anti roll bars a little thicker than the paper clips from the factory should go a long way to helping that.

Such a fun car to drive!
